Installation Guide

Caution! MOD_T.D.E. does NOT support vanilla saved characters.

Caution! Before Updating from Version 3.0, please find ALL items with staff charged skills, including those in PlugY shared stash, sell them or just throw them away, for Necromancers, you also have to banish Iron Golems created from such items, if not, this character would not be able to enter the game after Updating.

Of course you can also clear your ‘save’ folder, to have a fresh start 🙂

Since my LoD version is 1.14d, the ‘bin’ files it generated would be slightly different from 1.13c or other versions, which might cause some compatibility issues, this MOD would be fully TXT, so I recommend installing it like this:

1. Unzip the Mod Pack and copy everything within the ‘Install’ Folder into your Game Folder, this would replace your ‘PlugY.dll’ if you have already installed PlugY, such replacement would Update your PlugY to version 14.03.
2. Open ‘MOD_TDE’ Folder, you’ll find 8 new .exe files, they would separately launch the game with matched LoD versions and languages, if your LoD is 1.13 version, use ‘1.13’ started ones, if 1.14, use ‘1.14’ started ones, for languages, ‘Run English’ would be ‘English’; ‘執行松崗繁體’ would be ‘Chinese Traditional’; ‘执行松岗简体’ would be ‘Chinese Simplified’, ‘运行奥美简体’ would be ‘Chinese Aomeisoft’.

Trivia: AomeiSoft was an entertainment company used to be running Diablo II for Blizzard in mainland China, it published its own simplified Chinese version, with awesome pretty Chinese character fonts and super ugly Latin & number fonts. This company collapsed soon due to its poor service and selling same CD-Keys to multiple customers. As the result, few people had played this version even in mainland China, but it indeed used to be the ONLY Genuine simplified Chinese version, so I remade its fonts and brough it back in my MOD.

• If something got wrong with PlugY, open ‘PlugY_D2FilePatcher’ folder and run ‘PatchD2File.exe’.
• If you need D2GL Plugin, copy everything within ‘D2GL4TDE’ folder into ‘MOD_TDE’, this would replace ‘PlugY.ini’, if you had modified it before installing this plugin, would have to edit it again.

Caution! You must use the Customized D2GL offered in MY Mod Pack, official version or those modified by other Modders won’t work with this MOD.

• If you need Expanded Inventory, copy everything within ‘Epanded Inventory’ folder into ‘MOD_TDE’ would be fine.
• If you need Chinese Speech, copy everything within ‘CHI_Speech’ folder into ‘MOD_TDE’, this would replace Characters or Mercs’ interact speech and Boss monsters’ taunting speech with Chinese soundtracks from D2R.
• If you need Ogodei’s Autumn Act1, copy everything within ‘Ogodei’s Autumn Act1’ folder into ‘MOD_TDE’, this would turn Act 1 wildness areas to autumn theme.

Of course, you can install it in any other way as you wish, such as using BaseMod as your primary launcher, etc.
