Most Indoor or Underground Areas and Outer Areas at Night are now Extremely Dark, so ‘Light Radius’ Stat has become Much More Useful.

  1. All Shrine Effects can now Stack, and won’t be covered by Curses, would no longer decrease duration in Nightmare and Hell Difficulties
  2. Cold Effect and Open Wounds can now be Healed by Wells and Healers.
  3. Selling items to NPC would no longer have a 35000 price cap.
  4. NPC selling and buying prices recalculated, much more reasonable.
  5. More types of items could be acquired through gambling.
  6. Vendor or Gambling Items can now be refreshed thanks to BaseMod.
  7. Nightmare and Hell Difficulty Vendors are now selling Exceptional Items. With unknown BaseMod functions, even Elite ones.
  8. Highest Healing or Mana Potions are being sold since Normal Act 5.
  9. Chemist NPCs are now selling Explosive and Gas Potions.
  10. Jamella’s abandoned girlish voice retrieved~
  11. No more ‘Door Blocking’ monsters, unless specially arranged ones.

  13. Lut Gholein: Wandering Camels added.
  14. Act 1 outer areas: Friendly Rogues added.
  15. Dark Woods: God Damn it it’s Dark!
  16. Tamoe Highland level increased to 83.
  17. Inner Cloister: As ‘Flamespike the Crawler’ and its pack are extremely dangerous, no other monster would be spawned there.
  18. Maggot Lair: Changed its Entrance to a better shape.
  19. Claw Viper Temple: This place would only spawn Vipers, very dangerous.

Trivia: In Chinese or Japanese Languages, common ‘Vipers’ and ‘Pit Vipers’ are using quite different terms that not indicating the ‘Pit Viper’ to be a kind of ‘Viper’, and official Chinese traditional version’s translators used the term for ‘Pit Viper’ on all Viper-typed monsters or items with their names including ‘Viper’ when localizing Diablo II. Due to such reason, some Chinese speaking players insist that the translators had made a mistake and should be strictly fixed to the term for common ‘Vipers’. However, that’s not necessary, AFAIK, English speakers won’t care if a ‘Viper’ is a common one or a ‘Pit Viper’, many Chinese or Japanese Documents referred to ‘Pit Vipers’ are translated to ‘Vipers’ in English, such as an alias of the famous Medieval Japanese Warlord Saito Dosan, the English version is ‘The Viper of Mino’, not ‘The Pit Viper of Mino’.

  1. Corrupt Event

A Highlight of version 3.1! in Hell difficulty, most areas would have a chance to trigger ‘Corrupt Events’, when corrupted, the area would turn dark, and randomly spawning dark red clouds, monsters would also covered by dark red auras, movement velocity, attack speed increased, if monster level lower than 85, would promote to 85, if equal or higher than 85, would promote 5 more levels. Item dropping levels would also promote but won’t change the treasure class.
